Résistance
Le matériau ne ment pas, il accompagne, il retient, il donne et parfois il résiste. Cette résistance rend le rapport à la création d'autant plus savoureux, qu'il oblige, dans la confrontation souvent, dans le plaisir aussi à se servir de cette résistance pour aboutir. Résister c'est une lutte. Lutter avec la matière, avec le désir de création et le résultat, lutter contre le besoin d'être aimé, pour dire notre résistance à la médiocrité, à la haine, à l’indicible, aux assignations.
Resistance
The material doesn't lie, it gives, it retains, and sometimes it resists. I love this way off resistance, because it helps for giving flavour to the act of creation, in a fight most of the time, but with pleasure also to finally push the creation at its hight.
Resisting is a fight. Fighting with material, with the desire of creation instread of the final thing, fighting against our need to be loved, to say no to mediocrity, hate and what we can not name, also against assignations.
Impermanence
C'est pour l'éternité peut-être, mais c'est là et maintenant que ça se passe. L'impermanence offre des espaces de liberté et de souffle grisants. Elle nous donne à comprendre que faire la paix avec le temps, c'est accepter que la contraction et la dispersion du temps soient une chance et non plus une sanction. L'impermanence c'est aussi accepter l'échec d'une idée, d'une réalisation, d'une intention, et l'accepter par la transformation.
It's for eternity perhaps, but it's here and now that it's happening. Impermanence offers exhilarating spaces of freedom and breath. It helps us understand that making peace with time means accepting that the contraction and dispersion of time are an opportunity and no longer a sanction. Impermanence also means accepting the failure of an idea, an achievement, an intention, and accepting it through transformation.
